The Cantitoe Road BioFloat™ Seatpost is a revolutionary new product that brings new biomechanical compliance to the bicycle at its most critical point of contact - where your ass meets the bike.
Tom Petrie partnered with industry veteran Ross Shafer to develop this seatpost which will be launched at Interbike (booth # 401).
The saddle clamp is cradled by elastomer clamshells within the seatpost clamp housing. This allows the saddle to follow the rider's pelvis while pedaling. The saddle is no longer a fixed point. It becomes a more bio-mechanically compliant part of the bike than a fixed saddle. The interface between rider and bike becomes more organic.
With Cantitoe's "BioFloat™" seatpost clamp, the saddle is free to move in every direction, with progressive resistance controlled by the durometer of the elastomer. You can also "tune" the float by using elastomers of different durometer for more, or less, float.
Because the saddle follows the rider's pelvis, friction is reduced and pedaling efficiency is increased. Road vibration is also diminished through the elastomers. The result? More comfort and greater efficiency. Cantitoe's BioFloatTM seatpost makes any bike more comfortable.
