So it became that time during everyone's work day when your mind begins to wander. For the sake of my job when my boss reads this, it was about ten minutes before quitting time on a Friday afternoon. So I did what anyone would do at this point, start looking around the office for something to stay occupied with. Today, it just so happens, that my eyes stop on our newest product, the Effetto Mariposa hacksaw, CarboCut. Its sharp, elegant design and narrow little blade got me thinking... the blade is not sharp to the touch, so how does it really cut through hard materials so well? Will it cut through bone? Would it cut my hand off? These questions sparked some internal dialogue, which lead to a little inner-office conversation and finally... an experiment.
Introducing the CarboCut Hacksaw...

Alberto designed this beast using a tungsten carbide blade which is known for its strength in cutting super hard objects (i.e. composites, hardened steel, cast iron, titanium, ceramic, etc). On this particular day however, it just so happened to be a rock.
A force to be reckoned with!

Needless to say, it was a successful Friday and a proud moment for CarboCut. We give major props to Alberto for creating such a monster of a hacksaw. It'll cut through rocks - and most definitely handle your bicycle cutting needs.
Forewarning: We sell replacement blades, but don't try and get a "warranty" replacement for any type of buffoonery like this when the blade appears to have worn faster than expected.
