Slowtwitch and the GiustaForza

Category: Effetto Mariposa
Posted on May 27, 2008 by Steve

Dan Empfield over at Slowtwitch posted an article on the Effetto Mariposa® GiustaForza “GF” Torque Wrench, and on the importance of torque on modern bicycles.

The Giustaforza’s size and torque range make it a fantastic bike torque wrench that can be carried with you, but all of that can be read about in Dan Empfield’s full article at Slowtwitch.

Dan also makes a great point about torque values not being readily available all in one place. This is something that I get questions about all the time. While there is not a one size fits all list of torque values, we do have a small list of torque value part examples. This chart is our Nm to Inch-lbs to Foot-lbs conversion chart.

(also shows some of the parts we have torqued)

I agree with Dan that companies need to make their torque values readily available. While a good number of products come with a torque value available somewhere on the product, we still need to be able to easily find those torque values on manufacturer websites.
